Stride technology provides a flexible outsole and upper around the toe box, combined with a row of stiff cleats, allowing the shoe to adapt easily when walking or pushing a bike , while remaining rigid and efficient when pedaling.

The cable routing, Boa® clamp placement and carbon sole of the Recon 3.0 are taken directly from the S-Works Recon shoe. Premium Boa® Li2 tighteners provide an optimized fit, while cable positioning ensures a locked-in feel, minimizing friction in the shoe. The carbon sole brings lightness and rigidity to the Recon 3.0 for optimal power on the pedal, not to mention the gain of 10 grams compared to the previous generation.

Features of the Specialized Recon 3.0 MTB shoes :

  • Body Geometry outsoles and insoles have been ergonomically designed and scientifically tested to improve power transfer and increase pedaling efficiency while reducing the risk of injury by optimizing hip/knee/foot alignment
  • Carbon STRIDE toe-flex technology allows natural movement of the forefoot when walking or carrying and maintains its rigidity when pedaling (stiffness index 10.0)
  • Fully welded upper reduces seams for superior comfort
  • 2 Boa® Li2 allow a perfect fit even while riding
  • SlipNot™ rubber outsole for optimal grip on all types of terrain
  • SPD type drilling with 2 screws, compatible with all major brands of MTB pedals
