The South African professional team Dimension Data (former MTN team), created in 1997, has been involved in the Tour since 2015. It has WorldTeam status since 2016. In particular, it won the Milan-San Remo classic in 2013 thanks to Gerald Ciolek, as well as several stages on the big tours. The Dimension Data-Qhubeka training is the team's reserve. The team, whose flagship sprinter is Mark Cavendish, is also running to raise funds for Qhubeka charity, which distributes bicycles to the South African population.
